INSTRUCTOR:
This time Nikos Margaritis from the HSSN Greek dances Group of Rotterdam is coming to Amsterdam to teach us dances from his homeland.

Nikos Margaritis was born in Alexandroupoli, Evros region from parents of Thracian and Asia Minor origins and grew up in Kavala, Eastern Macedonia. He started dancing at the group “O Evros” in Alexandroupoli with Giorgos Ziogas as his teacher. Together with the other members of the group, he performed at the Athens Music Hall in a series of performances called “Thrace of Greeks” and at the celebrations of the Thessaloniki Cultural Capital of Europe 1997.
He has been participating in many Greek dance groups in Greece with teachers like Giorgos Karageorgiou and Vaggelis Doropoulos, all specialized in dances and customs of different regions of Thrace. In 2011, together with other people, he established the Greek dances Group of Rotterdam which nowadays has more than 105 dancers.
